Prologue

-32,800 feet in the air, flying to Des Moines, Iowa for work. Monday October 22nd.-

First of all welcome. I want to thank each and every one of you (or the three of you 😬 we will see how this goes) for taking time out of your busy day of scrolling your social media feeds, watching sports, binging on Netflix and playing with you pet to stop over here and give this a read. The true intent of this blog is to give an inside look into my life as a full time product manager in the marine industry as well as being a small business owner/operator. This lifestyle is not for everyone as it brings with it lots of challenges or as I like to call them opportunities. There will be time were I also talk about my past, things that I’ve never before put into words and things even some of my closest friends don’t know about me. Getting these things out I feel is important to help others and show exactly what things have gotten me to this point right here in life. After all, every single things that happens to us points us down a path, gives us a decision and an opportunity and will inevitable lead us to being the person we are at that moment in time.

And here comes your first look into how my mind works. I learned early on in my career that you need to focus on the positive of every situation no matter how bleak it may be. A coworker at the time joked about all of our “opportunities” for the day (which were somewhat difficult tasks that may not get done that day and would not be the most enjoyable but needed to be done) and from there I began referring to everything as an opportunity. No matter how difficult, challenging or boring things may be, every opportunity changes your path in life, they teach you something new helping you to grow, expand and continue on your path. Wow I’ve already started to ramble. I will warn you now that me rambling from time to time is going to happen. That’s why I’m writing a blog not a book. 🤣 But again my rambling is an opportunity for you to gain an even more in-depth understand of me as a person and how things work in my mind. There will be times were I make posts that have little to do with my career or business but again I hope they show you a different side of things.

I am going to keep this first post brief to keep you wanting more. Wondering am I really going to learn anything from this 27 year old midwestern guy who works too much? Or how much of this guys rambling am I really going to have to read? Ask my friends about this one I can get off on some crazy rambles but in the end they always end with a smile and a laugh, just as I am going to end each of my posts.
